About the Role

A Database Administrator (DBA) will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams building and supporting our mission-critical database systems as Business Wire undertakes a digital transformation journey. As a member of the DBA team, you will be responsible for defining and supporting new and existing database systems across public cloud and traditional data centers. Help guide best practices in database administration, data high availability, database management, database design, process improvement, requirements analysis and introducing innovation with a focus on automation.

What You'll Do

• Manage full database lifecycle to include initial installation and configuration of database technologies, to deploy engineered system design solutions, daily operations, administration, upgrades, and management of database technologies.
• Provide high-end technical DBA support within a variety of operating environments while also supporting / assisting software development and operational teams with database definition, structure, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and security / integrity controls according to industry best practices.
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve performance and reliability within the supported IT environments.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle EBS environments, including both database and application tiers.
• Manage EBS concurrent managers, workflows, and patch application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across database and application tiers.
• Subject matter expert : performance tuning and administration. Adept at analyzing and tuning SQL and Oracle EBS.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution.
• Work closely with L1 / L2 / L3 support teams to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in 24x7 On Call rotation.
