Must-Have :

• Ability to pass a pass / fail exam on skills learned during orientation.
• Understanding that artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.
• Compliance with a radius rule that requires candidates not to be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any partnering facilities.
• Willingness to float to other areas, such as postpartum.

Description :

The NICU requires RNs who can manage a variety of neonatal patients, stabilizing and transferring those younger than 30 weeks.

The nurse-patient ratio is 1 : 1 to 1 : 4 depending on acuity.

RNs will be responsible for titrating medications such as ampicillin, gentamicin, caffeine, TPN, and lipids.

There is a charge nurse present on each shift who takes an assignment.

Patient care techs and OB tech staff will assist on the unit.

RNs will be expected to use and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including nasal cannulas and vents.

Self-scheduling is allowed, with shifts running from 0630 to 1900 or 1830 to 0700.

Every other weekend will be required along with a holiday requirement based on need.

Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and be collaborative team players.

RTO is needed upfront; additional RTO requests will not be approved.

Shifts may be canceled by the facility, up to a certain limit during a contract period.
