Must-Have :

Starting IVs required.

Chemotherapy Administration preferred.

Description :

The position involves caring for step-down and med-surg patients.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5.

Staff may float to other med-surg areas as needed.

All staff are required to work every other weekend.

Equipment includes vital sign towers and IV pumps.

Documentation is completed using an electronic charting system.

Daily patient care involves managing conditions such as sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, and heart failure.

Staff will work closely with interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Additional responsibilities may include administering chemotherapy and managing patient care via specialized equipment.

The unit has a daily census of 29 patients.

Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment alongside a broad spectrum of medical conditions.

The role requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
