Inspector 1 (3rd shift; Sun-Thurs)

Overview

Inspector 1 (3rd shift; Sun-Thurs) – We are looking for a Production Inspector for our Elgin facility. In this role you will work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow. You will ensure that once the customers' products have been processed they are inspected for quality, re-packaged, and shipped accurately.

Your Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and co-workers in a customer-friendly manner
• Receive and inspect customer product for processing
• Inspect finished product
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Learn new skills and cross-train into various department
• Act as member of the monthly Quality Council
• Open to cross-trained / other areas of production

Compensation and Benefits

Oerlikon is required to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour . The total compensation package includes benefits and may be eligible for discretionary incentive programs. Compensation decisions consider factors such as internal equity, location, experience, education, and certifications. The package includes two weeks of paid time off accrued monthly, 12 holidays, 48 hours of personal / sick time (varies by state), medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement all effective on day one of hire.
