Follow established Quality control measures and safety measures including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures, Working instructions, and safety data sheets. Communicate with supervisors with regards to sample tracking, department delays or issues that affect clients.

The technician is responsible for inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma- optical emission spectrometry sample preparation in the inorganic chemistry department , which includes preparing solid and water samples for analysis, ensuring procedures are followed in compliance with ISO 17025 and established SOPs, maintaining appropriate turnaround times and workflow, responding to client inquiries via lab directors, managers, and administration, and maintain open communication with laboratory directors and administrative staff.
