Overview

premier strategic services firm that meets IT and Service needs for commercial and government clients. We are is seeking a full-time Database Administrator to support DoD customer out of the DMV. This is an exempt remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all functional duties identified independently
  • Design, create, and maintain databases in a client / server environment
  • Operate desktop database tools, scripts or queries to process and validate extracted data
  • Expert experience with Oracle 19c
  • Perform AWS Redshift Data Warehouse and Oracle RDS DB administration
  • Diagnose and resolve production data load issues in a large-scale AWS data warehouse
  • Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems
  • Establish and maintain data load and validation procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of data by the daily "data available" deadlines in a AWS Data Warehouse
  • Coordinate changes to computer databases.
  • Populate assigned databases with validated records from structured / semi-structured flat files / extracts and source databases
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or closely related field
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in database administration
  • Must meet specific certification and training requirements in accordance with DoD 8570.1-M, DoDD 8570.1 (Certified within 6 months of assignment)
  • Experience and Skills

  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties
  • Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.
  • Experience applying Structured Query Language (SQL), Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL)
  • Experienced with MSSQL, MySQL, Mongo, PostGRES, and Oracle Solutions Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts
