  • Shift : 12 hr Days | 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
  • Job Type : Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours : (36 hours / week)
  • Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary :

The Multi-modality Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties, including abdominal, obstetrics / gynecology, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, and small parts. The sonographer evaluates patient history, determines the appropriate imaging procedure, and ensures accurate diagnostic imaging. The role requires independent judgment, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform basic to advanced ultrasound imaging procedures in multiple modalities (e.g., abdominal, OB / GYN, cardiac, vascular, MSK).
  • Review and assess patient history and clinical indications to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
  • Tailor and expand ultrasound exams based on preliminary findings and clinical necessity.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and safety throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic information.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records, exam data, and sonographic images.
  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance standards within the imaging department.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced sonographers or trainees if applicable.

    • Required Qualifications :

    Education :

  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program

    • OR

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience beyond entry-level qualifications

    • Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical sonography experience required

    • Licenses / Certifications :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) : Must be current or obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • Must possess at least TWO of the following certifications :

    • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS)

  • ARRT-S (Sonography)
  • ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiology)
  • Musculoskeletal Sonography (MSK)
  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast (RDMS-BR)
  • RDMS Fetal Echocardiography (RDMS-FE)
  • RDMS OB / GYN (RDMS-OB)
  • RDMS Pediatric Sonography (RDMS-PS)
  • Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
