Overview
Join to apply for the Galv Electrical Engineer role at Steel Dynamics, Inc . Develop and execute engineering solutions for operation and enhancement of steel processing equipment. This is a technical support role for the operations and maintenance team. The majority of this role will be performed on the mill floor working with operations and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Support of multiple steel processing departments
- Ensure safe and proper operation of processing lines per manufacturer operation and safety guidelines
- Addressing production improvement requests from the operations team
- Responding to out-of-service equipment issues
- Developing downtime reduction strategies
- Programming system visualization and controls according to specifications
- Maintain backups of all software related to mill operation and support systems
- Develop technicians troubleshooting skills and programming skills
