About The Role

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will support our sales team to drive revenue growth by providing innovative Managed Solutions, Cybersecurity, and network designs to our clients. This position is ideal for individuals who are technically adept, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to the success of a leading provider of shared communications infrastructure.

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • Act as the technical lead and product specialist in customer meetings, providing technical insights and answering questions to build trust and rapport.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on at least one managed services technology : network architecture, SD-WAN, SASE, cloud, or cyber defense.
  • Conduct formal and informal technical training sessions for Sales Engineering and Sales teammates.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering, Architecture and Product teams to develop and validate Managed Solutions designs.
  • Design viable data network solutions, preparing network topologies, drawings, technical specifications, and assisting Sales with pricing.
  • Review and validate service orders before implementation; participate in service order kickoff meetings to ensure smooth service implementation.
  • Support Project Delivery teams during implementation, providing technical support to the NOC on issues affecting customer service delivery.
  • Act as liaison to Product Management, serving as both a technology expert and the voice of the customer.
  • Perform additional support duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Science (BA / BS) preferred; other relevant engineering experience acceptable.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or network engineering roles.
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Professional-level technical certification relevant to area of expertise (e.g., MEF, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Versa, Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, AWS, Azure CS, Google CS).
  • Work Experience

  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical sales.
  • Experience with LAN / WAN configuration and / or implementation.
  • Expert knowledge of the OSI model and Layer 2 / 3 technologies.
  • Experience designing and selling cyber security or SD-WAN solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Visio.
  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred.

    Where You Will Work

    This is a remote role with expectations for occasional on-site collaboration and up to 50% travel regionally or nationally.

    Salary range : $123,000 – $169,100 annually. Offers may include discretionary annual cash bonus, commissions, and equity incentives.
