Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant : Responsibilities The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provides superior patient care and performs both clinical and administrative tasks. Qualifications Job Requirements : High school diploma or GED equivalent. Graduate from an accredited medical assistant / medical technologist school / program. Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Must hold current or obtain within three (3) months of hire. Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge BLS Certification Preferred Job Requirements : Associate's degree. 1 years' experience in a hospital or physician practice setting. Pay Range Minimum : $18.31 / Hr. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
