Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date are met.
- Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to ensure upcoming events are communicated, tracked, and proactively attended to.
- Cultivate a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate work to ensure it is constructed in a manner consistent with best-practice standards.
- Establish and maintain all dimensional controls for the project, including the use of third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.
- Verify that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner (i.e. : plumb, level, straight, etc.).
- Manage and look-ahead no less than two weeks to proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
- Obtain all inspections and ensure that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.
- Ensure all aspects of the project comply with contract terms and legal requirements.
- Administer client-specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship.
- Conduct and / or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
- Meet regularly with client representatives to discuss project status, identify and resolve problems, and ensure client is informed.
- Manage self-performed activities to ensure work is performed within the established project budget.
- Manage changes in project scope to ensure the most contemporary contract documents are used to prevent avoidable rework.
- Assist with acquiring subcontractor proposals to ensure scope of work is met.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure terms and conditions are met.
- Manage the punch list and project closeout process to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.
- Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, HR, and ICS.
- Direct and manage the workloads of supporting staff, including training, mentoring, and follow-up.
- Participate in and encourage staff to seek out lifelong learning opportunities and professional development.

The position is based onsite at the NIST Project, with a day shift schedule.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00 / hr.
