Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. Your expertise in machining and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production operations.

Compensation : Up to $30 / hr depending on experience

Responsibilities :

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces

Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment to fabricate parts

Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using hand tools

Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects

Test completed tools or dies to ensure that they meet specifications

Troubleshoot issues with tools or dies during production

Requirements :

Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role

Proficient in operating stamping presses and various machine tools

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles

Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks

Experience with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a plus

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools effectively
