Clinic RN, LPN, or CMA - Ottumwa
JCHC is excited to announce the opening of our new Family Medicine Clinic in Ottumwa, which is scheduled to open early 2026; this position will be part of our brand-new location.
POSITION OVERVIEW : (non-exempt)
Creates a professional office image by providing superior customer service while effectively assisting the medical providers in the care and treatment of patients, and by working cooperatively with other staff members to promote a smooth flow of work within the office. Performs assigned procedures and duties within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Iowa RN or LPN license or completion of a Medical Assistant program / Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Experience in a physician’s office preferred
- Computer skills preferred
- Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) preferred

Reports to JCHC Clinic Nurse Manager

Stay up to date on educational requirements that are required by the VFC ProgramMaintain immunization logs and required documentation to meet the needs of the VFC Program.Responsible for reordering of immunizations to meet clinic / patient needsAssists during initial set up of the VFC Program and any future recertification process needs as wellCalls insurance companies for pre-certification when neededMaintains a clean working environment
