Kennel Assistants are valuable members of our hospital teams and play a crucial role in patient care. Solano-Napa Pet Emergency Clinic is seeking Kennel Assistants to join our emergency department team. The Kennel Assistant is responsible for providing and supporting patient care, daily monitoring of hospital patients and the facility, candidates must be compassionate and enjoy working closely with patients, and teammates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Ensure the kennel facility is clean and tidy, maintaining a professional appearance at all times
• Clean patient cages, runs, dishes, laundry as needed throughout shift
• Deliver exceptional, compassionate care to patients, including walks, bedding changes, providing food and water as needed and / or indicated
• Understand the importance of a clean and orderly facility, does not hesitate to clean or organize as part of a normal job duty
• Recognize and report any patient health concerns to Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian
• Enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and willingness to pitch in and assist with all roles including customer service tasks
• Assist the Hospital Manager with special projects during down time
