As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with engineers, contractors, distributors, and public agencies to support project development, provide technical expertise, and drive the adoption of Jensen products. This role blends technical consultation with business development, requiring a balance of problem-solving skills, customer engagement, and sales acumen. Primary Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Growth : Achieve or exceed annual sales targets within the assigned territory by identifying opportunities, developing new accounts, and expanding existing relationships.
- Territory Strategy & Market Development : Partner with regional leadership to execute a territory strategy that drives growth and market penetration. Market Jensen Infrastructure's product line to civil engineering firms, developers, architectural firms, public works agencies, and end-users.
- Customer Engagement & Specification Development : Develop strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and public agencies, "brown-bag" technical presentations, trade shows, association involvement. Deliver 20+ client appointments and 5+ technical presentations per month, and host major industry events annually to expand Jensen's visibility and influence.
- Technical Consultation : Act as a trusted advisor to specifiers by reviewing permit requirements, preparing preliminary cost estimates, and guiding clients through product selection and application. Secure favorable specifications for Jensen's solutions and serve as a respected industry consultant regularly sought out by principals and design engineers.
- Proposal & Pricing : Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, project submittals, and preliminary budget calculations. Develop competitive pricing strategies and support case studies and marketing collateral to advance project opportunities.
- Project & Field Support : Provide project support throughout the lifecycle—including design, manufacturing, and installation—to ensure successful execution, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationships.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including Stormwater, Corporate Engineering, Sales, Product Managers, Marketing, and Operations, to align strategies, execute campaigns, and deliver seamless project outcomes.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence : Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements to strengthen Jensen's position in the market and maintain a consultative edge.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting : Manage a weekly report consisting of activity summaries, pipeline opportunities, and customer meeting updates. Maintain CRM records to support forecasting and visibility into territory performance.

Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, civil / environmental engineering, or related site development projects.Experience with stormwater, precast, or construction industry products preferred.Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills
Strong business and technical acumen, with knowledge of construction and stormwater industry practices.Ability to prepare and interpret engineering documentation and design specifications.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.Proven ability to build client relationships, influence decision-makers, and negotiate effectively.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and basic CAD.J-18808-Ljbffr
