Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and implement strategic underwriting initiatives aligned with the company's goals and market demands.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining discipline and profitability.
- Evaluate and underwrite intricate Casualty risks, including but not limited to General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Auto Liability.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, utilizing analytical tools and industry insights to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential exposures.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop client engagement strategies and address client needs effectively.
- Provide expert guidance and solutions to clients, ensuring their unique insurance requirements are met.
- Manage and optimize the Casualty underwriting portfolio to achieve a balanced and profitable book of business.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for adjustments to enhance overall profitability.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Casualty underwriting roles within the insurance industry.In-depth knowledge of Casualty products and coverages, including General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Auto Liability.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and underwriting data effectively.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU are advantageous.Benefits
