Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.\n\nMercy Hospital Southeast OR includes : General Surgery, 2 DaVinci Xis, Urology, Plastics, Gyn, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic surgery.\n\nPeriop 101 through AORN is offered for new registered nurses.\n\nOur staff provides a comforting environment for patients that are undergoing a surgical procedure. We work alongside Preop staff, Anesthesia providers, Surgeons and recovery staff to safely provide care to patients needing an operation.\n\nAs nurses, we train on the equipment being used, proper positioning and prepping of the patient, and documentation of the patient record. There is opportunity to cross-train and / or advance to scrub or First Assist in the cases as well.\n\nExperienced RN Incentives : \n

• Required Education : Nursing Degree from an accredited school (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma).\n
• Licensure : Current RN license within the state of Missouri and / or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.\n
• Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position / unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe : \n
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)\n
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)\n
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)\n
• Other unit specific certifications as required.\n
• Other : Physical requirements / demands : \n
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and / or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.\n
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.\n
