Forklift Technician

JOB TITLE : Forklift / Skidsteer Technician

REPORTS : Operations Manager

JOB TYPE : Full-Time, non-exempt

HOURS : Monday – Friday 7 : 00 am-4 : 00 pm

COMPENSATION : $22-26 / hr., based on skills and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment such as material handlers, skid steers, forklifts, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair all types of diesel and gas engine machines.
• Diagnose and repair heavy machinery (forklifts, skid steers, etc.)
• Repair, replace, recondition, disassemble, weld, and examine parts and engines.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and examine the findings of the tests.
• Test driving vehicles to evaluate their performance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on forklifts and skid steers.
• Keep and maintain detailed records of all vehicle’s services.
• Maintain and keep a clean workspace.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor / manager.
• Comply with all company safety measures and government regulations.
• Communicate with a professional attitude.
