Job Requirements

Related experience or education preferredMechanical aptitude preferredCertified Welder preferredSpecific experience with equipment including truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, specialty equipment preferredExamples of related equipment are construction, mining, or farm equipment such as dozers or tractors; or military heavy equipment such as the MRAP vehicle, HMEE, or tanks. Aircraft and Aerospace or Ground Support Equipment (AGE / GSE) repair a plus.Physical effort and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, including service-related tools.Ability to drive motor vehicles and operate forkliftsAbility to provide tools per the Altec tool policy as neededOvertime - occasionalHigh School or GED requiredNo travel required, except for occasional trainingMajor Responsibilities

Uphold Altec’s safety commitmentMaintain and repair Aerial Devices, Digger Derricks, and other equipmentDetermine overall condition of machines through inspectionsDiagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systemsRestore equipment to working orderExhibit positive and effective interaction with other Altec associates, vendors, and customersMaintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other workThe chosen hire will be placed into the appropriate job level based on their experience and qualifications, according to Altec guidelines.

Hourly rate with potential for occasional overtime.

Annualized at $58,000 to $70,000 depending on qualifications.
