Primary Purpose : To coordinate DEA Warehouse activities and as time allows, to provide input on the receipt, processing, storage and shipment of all controlled substance materials including supplies as it pertains to the Controlled Substance Area of the warehouse (location, storage, etc.) and will have regular contact with the internal team and external customers in support of Controlled Substance Operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Coordinates and directs the daily activity in the Controlled Substance Area. Helps coordinate all receiving, processing, and storage in the Controlled Substance Area.
  • Completes Controlled Substance Area paperwork including 222 Forms, ATF Forms, Logs, Discrepancy Reports and related operations.
  • Interacts with Internal and External parties to complete required tasks.
  • Performs Data Entry tasks as needed
  • Assists with Inventory and Cycle Counts as required.
  • Assists with other Controlled Substance Area operations and housekeeping.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
  • Qualifications :

    Education & Licensing : High School or GED required.

    Experience : One (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

    Skills & Knowledge :

  • Ability to operate equipment : fork trucks / forklifts and technical ability to operate a hand cart / 2-wheel dolly and pallet jack
  • Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications, including CMS and other proprietary software.
  • Demonstrates the ability to observe safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High Attention to Detail
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
  • Work Environment :

    Mental : Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines

    Physical : Computer keyboarding, travel as required. Must be able to exert in excess of 80 pounds of force frequently to lift, push or pull objects. Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. Must be able to tolerate extreme heat and cold. Temperatures below 32 degrees F for period of more than one hour. (North and Northeast part of the country).
