Field Services Health & Safety Engineer

Overview

Base pay range : $70,000.00 / yr - $80,000.00 / yr. Tremco Roofing and WTI, North America's largest roofing maintenance service provider, focuses on restoring rather than replacing when possible to benefit customers and the planet. Tremco is seeking a Field Services Safety Engineer to provide safety oversight and support to regional field employees, ensuring site compliance with safety standards and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide support to projects by maintaining a visible presence and conducting site visits to perform safety audits and safety process audits (e.g., safety document evaluation / compliance) at least 80% of the week.
• Enforce all Federal, State, local, owner, and Tremco regulations across Roofing regional projects.
• Assist site leadership to develop site-specific safety programs aligned with Tremco Field Services Safety policies and instruct supervisors on safety procedures, planning, and equipment.
• Assist Regional Field Safety Managers with rolling out new safety initiatives and briefing employees on policy changes to ensure current practices (e.g., Daily Task Planning, 100% audit compliance, safety training programs).
• Educate workforce and regional leadership on Tremco safety culture, leadership, and safety management systems.
• Assist in coaching, mentoring, and implementing Tremco Health and Safety programs in the field to ensure safety expectations are understood and met.
• Participate in Toolbox Talk Meetings with Regional team employees.
• Regularly review applicable legislation and standards to ensure compliance.
• Represent Tremco safety culture with subcontractors and ensure subcontractor compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork to ensure safety practices and policies are followed.
• Regularly communicate safety audit results and field safety concerns to the Assistant Safety Director and prepare observation reports as needed.
• Audit Site-Specific Safety and Health Plans for compliance and update to align with project scope and conditions.
• Ensure incidents are reported immediately per Tremco policy, participate in incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up on incident corrective actions and monitor modified workers in the field.
• Adhere to all company policies and perform other duties as necessary.
