We are seeking an experienced and strategic Ground Segment Lead to drive the development and readiness of EOI’s ground systems in preparation for our first mission and beyond. What you will do :
This person will maintain the IT operations for the organization, collaborating with the Director of IT & Security to develop and maintain our infrastructure and systems with operational efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to a strict security posture. This role will require the ability to work hands-on to support all systems and infrastructure as the organization scales and grow the IT team to ensure adequate support is available.This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our IT operations services and make a significant impact on our organization. Responsibilities :
Perform development, implementation, and management of information systems, Windows, Linux, and Apple devices, and technology projects in a hybrid infrastructure utilizing AWS, Azure, other cloud providers, SaaS products and on-premises environments. Manage the life cycle of IT infrastructure and optimize the use of IT tools, automation, software, hardware and other devices to improve efficiency of the organization. Analyze and refine frontline IT support and maintenance processes to improve efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance the overall experience for EOI team members. In partnership with the information security team, implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure sound security, data governance and management of business systems across the organization. Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data protection. Ability to grow into a leadership role to mentor a team of IT professionals to build operational capabilities and processes within the IT team. Document the processes and procedures for all tasks, ensuring evidence-based proof for multiple types of audits. Required Qualifications : 5+ years experience in IT systems administration or a related field, or similar experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of technical infrastructure, systems, and tools used to automate processes in an IT Engineering environment using tools like Ansible, Intune, and Mosyle. Proficiency in a wide variety of servers, applications, cloud, and SaaS services, and VPN with the ability to rapidly adapt and master emerging technologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Ability to work through ambiguity, change, build alignment, and perform in cross-functional teams. Proficiency in ITIL, Agile, or other project management methodologies. Experience in DoD or Government regulatory and security compliance is a plus. Compensation : The salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000 per year, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations :
