Responsibilities Work in a Trauma / Surgical ICU within a large teaching and Magnet-recognized hospital Level I trauma center with a 1 : 1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00am to 7 : 30pm Every other weekend required Candidates expected to float within ICU and other appropriate hospital units as needed Epic EMR system is used and experience is required Duties focus on providing specialized critical care to trauma and surgical patients in a high-acuity setting Orientation includes required Epic module training and recorded facility modules Scrubs may be any solid color; facility also provides light blue or OR-provided scrubs No block schedules will be accommodated No on-call responsibility Holiday and orientation coverage may be required; no time off can be granted during orientation week First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment Local candidates are accepted at the same compensation rate Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent experience in trauma and / or surgical ICU is required Prior travel experience at least twice beyond initial hospital assignment is required BLS certification required Epic charting experience is required COVID-19 vaccination and booster required without exception Must pass a hospital EKG exam with at least 80% Prior staff must be separated from the facility at least 18 months before returning as a traveler No pending licenses accepted for this role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627905.
