job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssists the classroom teacher in supervising and managing the children under their care Interacts with, initiates, and encourages children in daily activities Helps manage children's behavior using a Christ-centered, positive, and consistent approach Follows a basic schedule providing for the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of children Helps children grow and become independent Assists the teacher in other ways as needed Helps build and support a caring team Maintains medical logs accurately and makes appropriate use of incident reports Maintains a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in room Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to child care center. Follow all center policies and state regulations. Must be 18 years of age Have a high school diploma or equivalent Undergo and pass a background check. Undergo and pass a pre-employment physical exam and tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 6 months prior to beginning employment Earn and biennially maintain their certification in CPR, AED, and first aid prior to or within 90 days after beginning employment Complete all state-required child care training prior to or within 90 days after beginning employment 2 years working with children
