In Short :

A Maintenance Technician ensures that our facility remains in operating form. Daily tasks will vary day-to-day based on immediate need and scheduled maintenance, but can frequently include repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility's machinery

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Participate in mandatory stretching exercise program
  • Follow all safety regulations
  • Receive direction and work orders from assigned department supervisor
  • Review daily inspection sheets of equipment and make necessary repairs / recommendations
  • Repair all equipment including splitters, saws, loaders, wrappers, quarry trucks, trailers and forklifts
  • Perform welding, cutting, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic work
  • Provide feedback to supervisors and operators on improvement of PM tasks and maintenance operations
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and complete all necessary paperwork
  • Order parts, tools, and materials needed to repair and maintain equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

  • Maintenance Mechanic Degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in hydraulic diagnosis and repair, welding, steel fabrication and industrial mechanics
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Basic shop arithmetic skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to operate a manual automobile
  • Basic computer data entry skills (Microsoft Excel)
  • Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
