Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in complex environments, balances field operations with strategic oversight, and takes ownership of financial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and manage all phases of assigned mechanical construction projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Oversee project teams, providing leadership, coordination, and performance management for staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Prepare and maintain budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow reports to ensure strong financial performance.

Review and execute contracts, change orders, and subcontracts in alignment with project objectives and company policies.

Facilitate preconstruction turnover meetings and establish clear schedules and milestones.

Secure required permits, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Lead procurement planning and oversee material and equipment purchases, focusing on cost efficiency and timely delivery.

Manage all project documentation including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.

Conduct regular project review meetings with field and office teams to assess progress and resolve challenges.

Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes.

Administer progress billings, collections, and financial closeout.

Ensure quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of construction and that safety practices are consistently followed.

Serve as the primary liaison between internal departments, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.

Participate in strategic business planning, risk management, and process improvement initiatives to support company-wide goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.

10–15+ years of progressive project management experience in mechanical or industrial construction.

Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor diverse teams and collaborate across departments.

Expertise in project controls, cost management, scheduling, and resource planning.

Proficient in contract negotiation, procurement, and subcontractor management.

Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.

Proficiency with project management and construction software systems.

Work Environment & Safety

Must comply with all company safety programs and policies.

Empowered to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed and report hazards immediately.

Required training includes site-specific safety orientation, CPR / First Aid, hazard recognition, and OSHA 30 certification.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique

A strong culture of safety and accountability.

Competitive pay and benefits including health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and ongoing professional development.

A collaborative, family-owned environment that values quality craftsmanship, innovation, and career growth.
