About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in specialty required

License : Must have active license in hand at time of submittal

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Floating required within defined scope
• Every other weekend availability

Description :

Mixed ICU environment.

Requires ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Two years of nursing experience is required.

First-time travelers are welcome.

Duties include arterial line management, chest tube insertion / removal assistance, and management of BiPAP and CPAP.

Responsibilities also include blood product administration and care of ventilated patients.

Requires central line care and management.

Experience in continuous IV sedation and CVA / acute stroke management is necessary.

High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and hypothermia protocol experience is a plus.

Skills in ICP monitoring and infection prevention are required.

Must be able to interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias.

Knowledge of intra-aortic balloon pump and isolation precautions is essential.

Experience with IV insulin protocols and procedural sedation administration is preferred.

Experience with pulmonary artery line / Swan Ganz monitoring is beneficial.

Should be capable of starting IVs and performing suctioning.

Knowledge of surgical wounds with drains and wound vac operation is needed.

Must have skills in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management.

Experience with ventricular assist devices (LVAD / RVAD) is preferred.

Daily patient census is approximately 8.

Unit comprised of 12 beds and requires interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy and pharmacy.

Expected to float to different areas as needed.
