At Pittsburgh Mercy , we are seeking a dedicated Physician - Adult Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team. Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Physician - Adult Psychiatrist, you will :

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for outpatients and Respite residents.
  • Provide emergency crisis intervention during working hours and on-call coverage as needed.
  • Deliver procedural services within your specialty training and clinical competence.
  • Offer clinical supervision and consultation to treatment teams, while educating staff on relevant clinical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external providers to ensure quality care.
  • Document medical records in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an active Pennsylvania physician / surgeon license and board certification.
  • Participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payer programs as required.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess :

  • Experience in managing chronic diseases and outpatient acute medical conditions.
  • Knowledge of the behavioral health and social service systems in our region.
  • Comfort in providing care to individuals with severe / persistent mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • An unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician / Surgeon License and DEA License.
  • Board Certification in your primary care specialty.
  • Current clearances (PA Act 33 and 34, Act 114 FBI Check).
  • A valid state-issued driver’s license.
