The Role : Proposal Manager
Every great build starts with a compelling story—and you’ll be the one to tell it. As Proposal Manager, you will lead Granger’s proposal development efforts for strategic pursuits across multiple markets. You will shape the narrative that connects our values to our clients’ visions, guiding teams through the entire proposal journey—from identifying opportunities and crafting strategy to final submission and post-proposal reflection.
This role blends storytelling, strategy, and collaboration. You will work closely with project executives, estimators, and subject matter experts to create proposals that do not just meet requirements—they inspire confidence and win work.
We Could Count on You With :
- Leading proposal strategy and development for high-value pursuits, ensuring alignment with Granger’s brand and client expectations.
- Managing proposal schedules, resources and deliverables across departments and teams.
- Supervising and mentoring designers and junior communications staff.
- Facilitating kick-off meetings, content planning sessions and post-submission reviews.
- Collaborating with project executives, estimators, and subject matter experts to develop compelling, customized content.
- Ensuring proposals meet all RFP / RFQ requirements and are submitted on time.
- Maintaining and evolving proposal templates, boilerplate content, and graphics libraries.
- Analyzing win / loss data and implementing continuous improvements in proposal strategy and execution.
- Supporting interview preparation and presentation development for shortlisted teams.
The Experience That Lead You Here :
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the AEC industry, with a focus on proposal management or marketing.Proven supervisory experience, including mentoring and team development.Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.Strong project management and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Unanet CRM.Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and enhance proposal management processes.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.What Sets You Apart :
Deep understanding of construction industry terminology and client expectations.Experience leading proposals for CM, Design-Build, and GC delivery methods.Familiarity with Midwest market and regional clients.What We Offer You :
