The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our key warehouse locations. This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility for managing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, material handling, and equipment operation—including the safe use of overhead cranes and rigging to move large and heavy materials. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and sign for incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Identify, document, and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all merchandise received, stored, and distributed using warehouse management systems.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, and overhead cranes with proper rigging techniques to safely move, load, unload, stack, and organize materials—often large, heavy, or irregularly shaped items.
- Execute proper rigging procedures and ensure all lifting and handling activities comply with safety standards and equipment limitations.
- Strategically store and stage materials to maximize warehouse space and streamline access for production or shipping.
- Fulfill distribution orders and job pulls promptly, including picking, packing, weighing, labeling, and preparing materials for delivery or internal transfer.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, performing routine safety checks and reporting equipment maintenance needs.
- Communicate proactively with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve delivery issues and support operational timelines.
- Support compliance with OSHA regulations, internal safety policies, and inventory control procedures.
- Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Exposure to warehouse operations, including material handling and shipping / receiving.Familiarity with rigging techniques and overhead crane operation in an industrial or heavy-equipment setting is strongly preferred.Valid forklift certification and / or overhead crane / rigger certification is a plus.Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Microsoft Office products.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Physical ability to lift / move heavy objects (50+ lbs), operate equipment safely, and work on your feet for extended periods.Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between warehouse locations.Physical Demands & Work Environment
