Responsibilities

PRN Pharmacist

Looking for someone who can cover one weekend a month and ideally would have some weekday availability for coverage for time off.

Position Requirements & qualifications :

Education- B.S. in pharmacy from a college accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Evaluation.

Licensure-Must possess current Virginia License issued by the board of Pharmacy.

Experience : Two to five years of prior experience in a hospital pharmacy with knowledge of specialized functions of hospital pharmacies.

Qualifications

Must be physically capable of making rounds to units to pick-up and deliver orders, pushing medication carts to units, carrying cassettes for cart exchange and receiving and stocking supplies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Responsible for all pharmacy functions, execution of drug dosing, monitoring protocols and provision of drug information,
• Distribution of patient medication according to physician orders.
• Maintain formulary / drug list and availability of medication, supplies and equipment.
