About the Role

CLA is looking to hire a Controller for our Client Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) who can sit in our Las Vegas, NV offices. Our CAAS practice helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.

As a Controller, you will :

• Assist the accounting team to record complex transactions
• Review complex account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team
• Complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual adjusting and closing process.
• Adhere to the clients organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
• Provide detailed review of the general ledger, financial statements, and required work papers
• Prepare work papers for the independent auditors, if applicable
• Analyze and interpret financial information and regularly present to the clients leadership
• Develop budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Review payroll and payroll tax compliance
