Trauma Nurse Practitioner Job Details

  • Location : Flagstaff, Arizona
  • Facility : Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center (269 beds)
  • Assignment Dates : October 28, 2025 – November 4, 2025 (potential for additional locum shifts)
  • Shift Schedule : Night shifts, 12 hours (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM)
  • Weekly Hours : 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $3980–$4270
  • Patient Census : 10–15 adult trauma patients per shift
  • EMR System : Cerner
  • Orientation : 4 hours (remote Cerner EMR training provided)

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

  • Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner license (or proof of application) – Arizona NP jobs
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • ATLS certification required
  • DEA license required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
  • Experience with trauma patients in a hospital or surgical setting preferred
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

    • Key Responsibilities – Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner

  • Deliver comprehensive trauma and surgical intensive care to adult patients
  • Collaborate with trauma surgeons and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Perform patient assessments, procedures, and interventions appropriate for trauma care
  • Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR system
  • Participate in trauma rounds, admissions, and discharges as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate completion of medical records and case documentation
