Associate For Real Estate Investments Trust (REITs) Equity Research

Jefferies is seeking an Associate for its Real Estate Investments Trust (REITs) Equity Research team. This individual will analyze industry macro trends and company financials. Under the direction of REIT Senior Analysts, the Associate will help cover 12+ stocks across two or three property types. The candidate will be part of a broader REIT team, which covers nearly every property types, and frequent collaboration with the rest of the team is expected. The Associate will build and maintain financial models and industry databases, ensuring correct and up-to-date information for research reports that are distributed to internal / external clients. The Associate will also work closely with Senior Analysts to write earnings reports, company reports, monthly / weekly publications and initiation of stock coverage reports. As part of this process, the associate will also review business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data on companies followed by the US REITs Team. Over time, the associate will help communicate recommendations to sales, trading and clients. In addition, the associate will help develop marketing materials for clients, meet with management teams and attend industry conferences, when appropriate.

This position is located in New York City and coming into the office on a regular basis is required.

Required Background :

• 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in sell-side / buy-side equity research, investment banking, private equity, or real estate valuation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills strong excel skills are critical
• Ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail in terms of written work and financial modeling
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize & deliver in a time sensitive environment
• Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree with high GPA
• Strong academic background in accounting, finance, economics, and / or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications :

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.
