Newport, TN Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Newport, TN . This position offers short-term coverage, a flexible schedule, and competitive compensation in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a manageable patient flow .

Opportunity Details :

  • Location : Newport, TN
  • Contract Type : Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
  • Start Date : September 1, 2023

Shift Schedule :

  • Day Shift : 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Night Shift : 7 PM – 7 AM

    • APC Coverage :

  • Sunday – Tuesday : 10 AM – 6 PM & 3 PM – 11 PM
  • Wednesday – Saturday : 11 AM – 11 PM
  • Minimum Commitment : 18 shifts per month
  • Practice Setting : Physician-led Emergency Department

    • Facility Details :

  • Annual Volume : 23,000 – 24,000 patient visits
  • 16 ED Beds + Hall Beds as Needed
  • Level 3 Trauma Center
  • No Admitting Orders Required (Handled by hospitalists)
  • EMR System : Cerner
  • Temp Privileges : Available for clean files

    • Provider Requirements :

  • Certification : Board Certification Not Required
  • Licensure : Active & Unrestricted TN State License & DEA
  • Required Certifications : ACLS, PALS
