The Microsoft M365 Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s Microsoft 365 (M365) environment to ensure its secure, reliable, and efficient operation. This role focuses on the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of M365 cloud services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and related collaboration tools. The administrator ensures agency staff can effectively leverage M365 services to meet mission and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and CoPilot.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, licensing, and access controls to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
• Provide Tier II / III support for M365-related issues, including troubleshooting escalated incidents, service outages, and complex system errors.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of M365 services, ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimal downtime.
• Implement and maintain security configurations, patch testing, and compliance with agency baselines and federal standards.
• Develop, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery solutions for M365 services.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for M365 configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Work closely with other IT teams to integrate M365 with on-premises systems (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune) and cloud services (e.g., Azure).
• Train and support end-users on M365 features, functionality, and best practices to maximize adoption.
• Stay current on Microsoft roadmap and emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to improve business productivity.
