American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARRT-CT certification and proficiency in trauma, biopsy drainage, and angiogram procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient caseloads, primarily serving adult patients with occasional pediatric outpatients or ED casesShifts are available in 8, 10, or 12-hour formats with a typical rotation including weekends about once per monthAverage caseload is 4 patients per hour, with a 1 : 1 patient ratio, totaling approximately 40 patients per dayCT technologists work as part of a team with another CT tech and an assistant on each shiftProcedures include biopsy drainage, trauma scans, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studiesAll GE CT scanners used; EMR documentation is performed in CernerFloating may occur throughout various areas of the main Radiology departmentHoliday coverage is scheduled per hospital policy, including at least one major and one minor seasonal holiday; on-call is voluntaryCT technologists are responsible for performing high acuity trauma and complex radiology procedures as part of a collaborative teamOpportunities for orientation include one 8-hour hospital session and 2-3 shifts on days with preceptorship supportScrubs of any color are permittedFree parking is available on siteTravelers must purchase their own markersReturn to this facility as a traveler is allowed only after a 6 month break from permanent employmentNo local candidates are accepted; applicants must live more than 60 miles from the facilityRequests for more than 7 days off require manager approval and may require contract extension\n \n Requirements\n
Current BLS certification is requiredARRT registration and ARRT-CT certification are requiredAt least 1 year of recent relevant CT experience for experienced travelers, or at least 2 years for first-time travelersStrong skills required in CT biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram procedures; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferredState license preferred; license required if applicable\n Benefits\n
