Job Description : Toolmaker

$60-85K Depending on experience

Toolmaker Qualifications :

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3–7 years of experience in toolmaking, die building, or precision machining (mold-making experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in operating and setting up machines (mills, lathes, grinders, surface grinders, etc.).
• Strong understanding of : - Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD) - Heat treatment, metallurgy, and material properties - Tight-tolerance machining and precision assembly
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Skilled in precision measurement and inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, CMM equipment).
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills for tool and die repair, modification, and optimization.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and root cause problem-solving.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with excellent hand–eye coordination and attention to fine detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Toolmaker Key Responsibilities :

Pay Details : $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
