Position Description :
Summary
Serves as the design professional and project manager on facility renovations and new construction projects. Responsible for all phases of project execution from conceptual design to final occupancy to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Demonstrated managerial and administrative skills, preferably in academic medicine / higher education or laboratory research. Extensive experience in facilities planning, construction planning and oversight. Familiarity with Wisconsin building codes and federal ADA requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and capable of adapting to changing priorities. Must be self-directed, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Candidate must have the maturity and sound judgment to interface with faculty and senior leadership of the College, and with entities external to the institution.

Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education : Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Required Experience : 5 years of progressively responsible academic or healthcare experience relating to facility planning, project management, architectural design or construction administration. Must be knowledgeable in Auto / CAD, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Project and standard Microsoft platforms.
Preferred Experience : 7+ years of progressively responsible academic or healthcare experience relating to facility planning, project management, architectural design or construction administration. Labratory research experience preferred. Experience with CAFM software and Workday.
Preferred Certification / Licensure(s) : Project Management Certificate (PMP)
