Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801 Unit : D2 – Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 2nd Floor Employment Type : Travel RN (Locum Tenens) Duration : 13-week contract (Start : 12 / 22 / 2025 – End : 3 / 23 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM), every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 Open Positions : 5 Registered Nurse jobs available Setting : Inpatient overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down patients Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680 - $1800 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for healthcare jobs in NC) Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care or telemetry nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Telemetry competency and clinical support skills Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Strong patient-focused, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude Ability to float to other nursing units as needed Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced PCU / telemetry unit Monitor and interpret telemetry data; ensure patients are hardwired to bedside monitors Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, CNAs, and charge nurses Manage patient ratios of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 and adapt to varying acuity levels Support short-stay (24-hour LOS) patients and facilitate efficient patient turnover Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR Comply with unit policies, guidelines, and dress code (navy and / or white top, navy bottom, all white) Join our healthcare team in Asheville, North Carolina, and make a meaningful impact at one of America’s top hospitals.
