Hardscape / Construction Foreman

The Landscape Construction Foreman is a pro-active, performance focused professional. This position is required to perform the tasks described as needed of the company. Goals and duties will be determined and identified by the Production Manager and the Director of Operations. They will provide effective management of field personnel to assure that the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded. This position is also responsible for managing field personnel to assure the company receives accurate and timely information regarding the performance of our services by crews. The ideal candidate will be expected to reach and / or exceed quality expectations, hour productivity goals, employee retention, and safety goals set by the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Cooperating with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, planners, and other team members to develop plans for new projects.
  • Assist in developing accurate project schedules and goals.
  • Track projects on current costs of materials, labor rates, and other factors that affect project costs and develop plan for project efficiencies.
  • Coordinates and supervises job-site activities.
  • Directs field personnel to achieve completion of project schedules with quality workmanship that conforms to the company standards and the project plans and specifications.
  • Maintains an organized jobsite and proper paperwork.
  • Perform construction observation with knowledge of proper construction practices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and mentor team members as appropriate.
  • Act as site-superintendent for various projects throughout the execution phase.

Qualifications :

  • 5-10 or more years’ experience in Landscape or Construction.
  • Preferred valid CDL.
  • Experience with Hydroseeding and / or Hardscapes.
  • Proficient in both Oral and Written communication.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of software, easily pickup on new technology and software packages.
  • Ability to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to embrace and champion the company Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Results-driven and customer-focused mindset.
  • Pre-hire background check and drug test required. We are a non-smoking / vaping, drug-free company

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience in landscaping or related field
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers
  • Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscape design principles.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to lift / carry materials up to 50lbs, move about the work site.
  • Exposed to dust, pollen, chemicals, cold and heat in an external environment.
  • Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
  • External environment with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes gloves, company uniform and safety glasses.

  • Compensation :

  • Competitive base salary of $50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
  • Eligibility for company bonus programs.
  • Work Conditions

    Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold, or heat.

    Base Pay : $20.00 - $31.25 / Hour
