Lube Technician

Join the Southern Motors Service Team!

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Lube Technician to join our growing service department. As a Lube Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers’ vehicles running safely and efficiently through expert maintenance and attentive service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes and fluid top-offs according to manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect vehicle systems and components for leaks, wear, or other potential issues
  • Check and adjust tire pressure as needed
  • Replace filters, windshield wipers, batteries, and other basic parts
  • Lubricate moving parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Keep engines and work areas clean during servicing
  • Communicate vehicle concerns to lead technicians or service advisors
  • Complete accurate service reports for customers

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in automotive maintenance or repair preferred
  • ASE certification a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
