Summary
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is an economic development agency of the federal government and 13 state governments focusing on 420 counties across the Appalachian Region. ARC's mission is to innovate, partner, and invest to build community capacity and strengthen economic growth in Appalachia to help the Region achieve socioeconomic parity with the nation.
Responsibilities
Provide technical environmental historic preservation (EHP) advice related to Appalachian Region Commission activities.
Coordinate with the Registered State Basic Agency (RSBA) staff, Historic Preservation Advisors, and the Environmental Historic Preservation (EHP) to fulfill Environmental Historic Preservation requirements.
Provide technical assistance to Registered State Basic Agency staff and Appalachian Region Commission staff during project formulation, grant processing, and close-out.
Participate in inter-agency consultation under various environmental laws, such as the National Historic Preservation Act.
Interface with the Registered State Basic Agency, grantees, and the Made in America Office in all matters related to the Build America, Buy America Act.
