Neurosurgery APP Locum

Overview

Aspirus Spine & Neurosciences in Wausau, WI is seeking a locum Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dedicated and collaborative team. This is a full-time locum position with an ongoing need. Schedule : Monday – Friday, inpatient rounding (AM) and outpatient clinic (PM). Patient volume : 10–15 patients / day. Start date as soon as credentialed. Wisconsin license required. EMR : Epic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inpatient rounding each morning
• Provide follow-up and consultative care in the outpatient clinic each afternoon
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Document patient encounters and care plans using Epic EMR

Qualifications

Team Structure

You will be part of a collaborative neurosurgery team that includes 2 Neurosurgeons, 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), 3 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 Medical Assistants (MAs), and 4 Office Staff Members. The clinic is located on the 3rd floor of Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the locum PA will work closely with 1 neurosurgeon and 2 other PAs.
