Field Sales Agronomist
A progressive agricultural organization in Northwest Pennsylvania is seeking a motivated Field Sales Agronomist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who blends technical agronomic knowledge with a passion for building relationships and delivering tailored crop input solutions to growers.
Field Sales Agronomist Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with area growers to support sales of seed, crop protection, and fertility programs
- Conduct on-farm visits to assess agronomic needs, troubleshoot issues, and offer tailored recommendations
- Collaborate with internal operations and supplier partners to deliver timely and efficient service
- Create territory growth plans and track progress against business development goals
- Stay up to date on emerging agronomic practices and product innovations
- Provide education and insight to growers through seasonal planning, data interpretation, and scouting support
Qualifications :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a solutions-focused, consultative sales approachSelf-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to build trust with producers and provide sound agronomic recommendationsBachelor's degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, or a related field preferred (but not required)3+ years of agronomy or crop input sales experience strongly preferredCertified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation preferred or willingness to obtain within two yearsValid driver's license and ability to travel locallyWhat's Offered :
