  • The Lead Physical Therapist assumes a leadership role, overseeing, evaluating, and delivering physical therapy services with an Orthopedic focus. In addition to supervising clinicians, this role serves as a primary educator and point of contact for day-to-day issues within the Therapy Center.     This position will be located and perform services in RVNAhealth's Therapy Center, located in Ridgefield, CT.

    Our Therapy Center is a part of the HSS Rehabilitation Network and offers a complete range of rehabilitation and therapy programs and services. With a full open gym and state-of-the-art therapeutic and fitness equipment, plus several private treatment rooms, our center specializes in physical, occupational, speech, and vestibular therapies, orthopedic programs for joint replacement recovery, balance and falls prevention, LSVT BIG & LOUD Parkinson's treatments, and sports injury rehabilitation.

    As part of the HSS Rehabilitation Network , our clinicians will have the opportunity to participate in the HSS Ortho Residency Program, a 12-month program with HSS provided oversight, curriculum, and one on one mentoring. It includes an Advanced Orthopedic Triage Certification as well as an HSS OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist) prep review course.

    Duties :

    • Comprehensively evaluate client's level of function and participation in development of the total client care plan with client, family, and physician.
    • Administer appropriate treatment which may involve the application of physical agents and / or modalities, using equipment, moist packs, cold packs, electric stimulation, or ultrasound machines.
    • Ability to correctly assess and provide ongoing physical therapy treatment with appropriate basis and understanding of need for treatment keeping outcomes in mind.
    • Perform and assist in chart audits, monitor for accuracy, and ensure meets regulatory guidelines.
    • Oversee and supervise PTA's, to ensure they are following established POC.
    • Precept new PT's and PTA's as needed.
    • Help supervise rehab support staff and techs'.
    • Qualifications :

    • Graduate with a Bachelor's degree or greater of an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association Council of Medical Education with collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association.
    • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut ; training or certification in orthopedic physical therapy.
    • Knowledge of physical therapy methods with particular skill in casework in the outpatient setting
    • 1+ year experience working in an outpatient setting preferred.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with community referral sources.
    • Knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory rules.

    • Compensation :

      $5,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS. Our target pay range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 per year + incentives. This pay range represents RVNAhealth's commitment to pay transparency and is a reasonable estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience, and expertise related to the qualifications.
