The platform is at a pivotal stage : currently desktop-first and feature-light, it needs to evolve into a mobile-native, AI-powered solution that can deliver world-class learning experiences in diverse environments, including low-connectivity regions.

💡 The Role : Senior Software Engineer

We’re seeking a hands-on, startup-minded Senior Software Engineer to lead the next phase of this platform’s evolution. This is a 3-month contract designed as a test engagement—with strong potential for extension or even a full-time role if there’s a great fit.

You’ll be at the forefront of :

Transforming the platform into a mobile-native experience (iOS & Android)

Integrating AI-powered features (e.g., tutoring / study mode using ChatGPT)

Elevating UX, performance, and scalability to meet the needs of millions of learners

🔧 Scope of Work

React / JavaScript development : usability + performance improvements

AI-powered feature prototyping (study / tutoring modes)

Repo & CI / CD management (migrations, PRs, disciplined code review)

Cross-team coordination : turning technical updates into clear, concise debriefs

Roadmap alignment : DevOps board management, sandbox vs production deployments

Optimisation for low-connectivity environments

📅 First 90 Days Deliverables

30 days : Local environment setup + first tangible UX improvements

60 days : Multiple UX fixes + mobile-native development underway

90 days : Stable UX baseline (auth, navigation, performance) + 2–3 AI features shipped, including AI Study Mode

Requirements

✅ What You’ll Bring

5–7+ years of hands-on coding experience

Deep expertise in React + JavaScript

Proven experience shipping AI-powered features into production

Background in fast-paced, high-standard tech cultures (Google, GitHub, Stripe, Cloudflare, Meta, etc.)

Clear, proactive communication skills and the ability to thrive in lean, agile teams
