PURPOSE OF POSITION :

To assist with the initial development of and manage the day-to-day operations of a Clean Technology Training Program.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED :

Reports directly to the Vice President of Mission Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Works directly with the Vice President of Mission Services and the Manager of Benefits and Placement to provide strategic and operational direction for planning, designing, and developing the Clean Tech Accelerator Program (CTA). Works with Goodwill Industries International Clean Tech Accelerator staff and other Goodwill network operators to learn best practices, operational efficiencies, and standard processes developed during the pilot phase of the CTA. Performs visits to other CTA sites across the Goodwill network in the continental United States. Meets regularly with members of the Clean Technology community including business leaders, labor organizations, utilities, and related associations. Meets regularly with the Workforce Development community including One Stops, development boards, and other training providers. Works with all partners as appropriate to develop, adopt, and administer training curriculum.

Works with internal and external partners to develop recruitment marketing materials and strategies for prospective students. Learn and become proficient with various and applicable clean technologies such as Electric Vehicle supply equipment, solar panels and battery systems, and heat pumps. Learn and become proficient with various training programs such as OSHA 10 and OSHA 30. Maintains knowledge of trends and changes in technology which may be applicable to the CTA program. Acts as primary instructor for CTA classes.

Drives on company business as required. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property. Acts safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations. Follows all company policies and procedures. Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork. Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed. Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness. Works with, trains, and / or acts as a good example for program participants receiving training at Goodwill.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in education, technology, or a related field. Work experience in clean technology and instruction is acceptable. Proficiency with basics of general construction and basics of electricity including equipment safety standards. Knowledge of learning and instruction fundamentals. Experience with classroom instruction, preferred. Ability to use digital technologies effectively and efficiently. Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of management, employees, clients, and the public. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information when needed. Valid driver’s license, liability insurance, and a DMV record which is acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company.
