- Patient Ratios : 1 : 2-4\n
- Scrub Color : Navy (RN)\n

- Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,950 – $2,090\n\nNICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required\n
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required\n
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system\n
- Ability to float to PICU and pediatric units as needed\n
- At least 1 year of pediatric or neonatal experience required\n
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years\n
- Willingness to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)\n\nNICU RN Responsibilities\n
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to neonates in a Level II / III / IV NICU setting\n
- Administer blood products, anti-seizure medications, antibiotics, antivirals, and other specialized neonatal treatments\n
- Perform APGAR scoring, manage arterial lines, and assist with lumbar punctures\n
- Monitor blood glucose, provide breastfeeding support, and manage bubble CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula\n
- Care for central lines, colostomies, ileostomies, and provide developmental care for neonates\n
- Manage feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage), ventilators, and oxygen delivery systems\n
- Respond to a variety of neonatal diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, and surgical cases (excluding cardiac)\n
- Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay\n
- Float to PICU and pediatric units as needed based on hospital census\n
