About The Position

Position Overview :

San Juan BOCES is seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students across various school sites. This role involves working directly with pediatric populations under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help students develop, improve, or regain functional abilities necessary for academic success.

Note : School-based experience is strongly preferred, but all applicants must have experience working with pediatric populations.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

Support students in achieving IEP goals and improving daily school-related functional skills

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and therapists to ensure coordinated care

Document student progress and assist in data collection for therapy sessions

Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Active Colorado COTA license – Required

Experience working with pediatric populations – Required

Prior school-based experience – Preferred
